National Clinical Assessment Tool - Emergency Medicine (NCAT-EM) National Clinical Assessment Tool - Emergency Medicine (NCAT-EM)

The National Clinical Assessment Tool in Emergency Medicine (NCAT-EM) was developed in 2016 after a national consensus conference on clinical assessment of medical students in the ED. The form and findings from the consensus conference may be found at: West J Emerg Med. 2018 Jan;19(1):66-74.

This webportal was created at Johns Hopkins University and was supported in part by a grant from the Emergency Medicine Foundation. It was created to collect, in aggregate, de-identified NCAT-EM assessment data from clerkship directors using the NCAT-EM at their own institutions. Research is currently being conducted to analyze data collected via the webportal, and has been approved by the University of Arizona Institutional Review Board.
